Introducing the perma NOVA

Available on September 1st!

Introducing the perma NOVA...
the first temperature independent electrochemical lubrication system!

perma NOVA can be used for all applications that are within a temperature range of -4 °F up to 140 °F.  A discharge period of 1 to 12 months can be easily programmed by pushing the selection button on the NOVA control unit.  A built-in temperature sensor periodically measures the ambient temperature and the control unit calculates the required gas generation based on this data.  This ensures a continuous and controlled discharge.  perma NOVA consists of a reusable control unit, a lubricant canister filled with 130cc of grease or oil, and a protection cover.

Product Benefits
  • Ambient temperature does not need to be taken into consideration when setting the discharge period.
  • LED display with push button control for simple handling and setting adjustment.
  • Broad range of dispensing rate settings to suit equipment demands or planned maintenance cycles.
  • Intrinsically safe with Ex-certification, and dust and water jet prood with IP 65 protection.

Technical Data
  • Housing - Transparent plastic
  • Drive - Electrochemical reaction via gas generating cell.  Electronic temperature compensation.
  • Discharge period - 1, 2, 3, ..., 12 months
  • Lubrication volume - 130cc (4.57 oz)
  • Temperature range - -4 °F up to 140 °F
  • Pressure build-up - Max. 6 bar (87 PSI)

How does it work?
Short-circuiting of the two terminals (anode+ and cathode-) will activate the cell and produce hydrogen gas.  The required gas amount for a certain period is determined via the electrical resistor.  A microcontroller opens and closes the electric circuit.  When the circuit is closed, gas is generated.  The microcontroller processes the entered discharge period and the measured temperature.  This data is used to calculate the required gas production.  The gas moves the piston forward and the lubricant is continuously injected into the lubrication point.

New & Improved perma FUTURA
Wednesday, 05 May 2010 09:31

Late this summer the current perma FUTURA will be replaced with an enhanced new version.

The new FUTURA is now 120cc in size with discharge rates of 1,3,6 or 12 months.  The website will be updated with more product details and information once the product is released.

Advantages of the new perma FUTURA:

  • Transparent housing for easy fill level control
  • Lubricant volume is now 120cc.  Same as perma CLASSIC and up from 100cc in previous version
  • Integrated support flange for better stability
  • Integrated oil valve (for oil-filled FUTURAs)
  • **New version uses perma CLASSIC activator screws (with black sealing ring)
  • Optimized connection thread for easier / safer connection

**Old perma FUTURA activators (with pink sealing ring) will also work in the new perma FUTURA version.  Therefore it is not necessary to replace your stock of old perma FUTURA activators.

The new version of the perma FUTURA is shown below.  Picture on the right shows FUTURA filled with oil.
