(Open Gear Lubrication System)

Most open gear damages are caused by insufficient lubrication.
This results in metal to metal contact which severely wears down the flanges on the toothed gear. Manual lubrication, with a relatively long lubrication interval, initially applies too much lubricant on the open gear (environmental concerns). The amount of lubricant decreases over time, until there is nothing left for the actual lubrication. These problems can be solved with the Open-Gear-Lubrication-System from perma-tec.
A perma lubricator automatically transfers the lubricant to the
OGL-Applicator. The movable parts of the applicator contain grease channels which apply the lubricant evenly across the entire width of the open gear.
This ensures a reliable and continuous supply of lubricant in small doses. After a discharge period of up to one year, the grease cartridge of the perma lubricator is replaced during regular maintenance.
