perma ULTRA

perma ULTRA is a fully automatic single-point lubrication system designed for applications that require high lubricant output, long grease lines or reliable operation across a wide temperature range. Typical applications include conveyors, electric motors, blowers, fans, pumps, roller bearings and sliding bearings. It is also suited for equipment such as drag conveyors, shaker screens and rotary kilns.

perma ULTRA is designed for applications that require more lubricant, higher operating pressure or longer remote grease lines than perma STAR VARIO. It is available in 500 cc and 1,000 cc sizes, can generate up to 725 psi and supports remote installations with hose lengths up to 65 feet. perma ULTRA can also be configured and monitored through perma CONNECT via Bluetooth. 

perma ULTRA supports remote mounting with grease lines up to 65 feet, or 20 meters, depending on the application. Actual allowable line length can be affected by grease consistency, temperature, hose diameter, bearing resistance and the number of fittings or bends in the line. Connection lines should be kept as short as practical and installed using the recommended ULTRA hose and mounting components.

The system’s pressure capability helps it deliver lubricant through longer grease lines and overcome resistance at the lubrication point. This allows the lubricator to be installed away from hazardous, hot or difficult-to-access equipment while still supporting consistent lubricant delivery. The application should be checked before installation to confirm that the lubrication point and connecting components can accept the required pressure.

perma ULTRA is available with 500 cc and 1,000 cc lubricant canisters. The discharge period can be configured in weekly or monthly intervals, including settings from one to 12 months and from one to 52 weeks. The appropriate setting depends on the equipment’s lubricant requirements, operating hours, environmental conditions and the resistance within the lubrication line.

perma ULTRA can dispense grease up to NLGI 2. The grease should be selected according to the equipment manufacturer’s recommendations, operating temperature and application conditions. Before installation, the lubrication point, grease lines and connecting components should be prefilled with the same grease contained in the lubricator.

Yes. perma ULTRA has an operating temperature range of -40°F to 140°F, or -40°C to 60°C. Operation below -4°F, or -20°C, requires the ULTRA low-temperature lithium battery pack and a lubricant suitable for the temperature conditions.

perma ULTRA can be configured, monitored and maintained through perma CONNECT via Bluetooth. Users can review operating information and adjust system settings without working directly beside the lubrication point. Access beyond the normal Bluetooth range can also be enabled with Gateway BLUETOOTH.

No. Once configured and activated, perma ULTRA dispenses lubricant automatically according to its selected discharge setting. Bluetooth and perma CONNECT provide additional configuration and monitoring capabilities, but the lubricator does not require a continuous wireless connection to perform its normal lubrication cycle.

The lubrication point should be cleaned and prefilled with fresh grease before installation. Any grease lines, hoses and connecting components should also be filled with the same lubricant used in the lubricator. perma recommends using an INSTALLATION KIT ULTRA or ACCESSORY KIT ULTRA and securing remote hoses to prevent damage or disconnection.
