We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager

Role overview
We are seeking a driven and hands-on Regional Sales Manager to oversee and grow a multi-million-dollar territory including PA, VA, NC, & MD This role is ideal for someone who has a strong strategic orientation and tactical aspects of sales - partnering with distributors while also staying close to the end user to generate demand and close deals. This is a remote position with about 50-60% travel. The preferred home base is VA, PA, & NC (within 100-mile radius of a major airport)
Key responsibilities
- Manage and grow revenue across the region by supporting distributor partners and building strong relationships with end-users.
- Work alongside distributor reps and independent reps to conduct joint sales calls, perform product demos, and provide training.
- Build preference for the company’s lubrication solutions at the end-user level to drive sales through distribution.
- Act as a trusted advisor and technical resource for distribution teams - ensuring they are equipped, trained, and motivated to sell effectively.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to inform regional strategy.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, report on KPIs, and contribute to forecasting.
Qualifications
Sales and business development
- Proven hunter mentality: prospecting and opening new accounts (OEMs, distributors, end users).
- Strong account management skills to grow share of wallet with existing partners.
- Experience with solution selling; able to position lubrication systems as value‑add for reliability, safety, and cost savings.
- Negotiation experience structuring pricing, contracts, and volume agreements.
Technical and product knowledge
- Familiarity with automatic lubrication systems and common applications (bearings, conveyors, motors, chains).
- Experience in MRO environments such as manufacturing, food & beverage, mining, utilities, or oil & gas.
- Application engineering mindset with the ability to collaborate with plant engineers and reliability managers.
Territory and channel management
- Track record managing distributors and reps, setting joint business plans, and driving sell‑through.
- Strong territory planning skills: account mapping, prioritization, and opportunity identification.
- CRM proficiency (Microsoft Dynamics or equivalent) for forecasting and pipeline reporting.
Data‑driven and strategic skills
- Comfortable with business analytics and reporting tools (Power BI or similar).
- Ability to build ROI business cases comparing perma solutions to manual lubrication (cost savings, downtime reduction).
- Agile sales approach: iterate on strategy and adapt to distributor and customer needs.
Leadership and communication
- Influence without authority: drive results through distributor and customer stakeholders.
- Cross‑functional collaboration with marketing, operations, and technical support.
- Presentation and training experience: lunch & learns, distributor training, trade show demos.
- Clear, persuasive communicator able to tailor technical messaging for executives and maintenance teams.
Operational and digital skills
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 tools: Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Comfortable with sales enablement tools: digital catalogs, virtual demos, and outbound campaigns.
- Strong process discipline and adherence to sales cadence and reporting requirements.
